A screened floor assembly helps with varroa mite reduction and monitoring.

The 1cm x 6cm entrance (narrower than shown) helps the colony protect the hive against robbers and doesn't require a mouse-guard in winter.

Space is provided at the rear of the floor for under-screen insertion of a sticky board or to block off the opening, if desired.
